How long have you been a photographer?

My interest in photography began budding when I started playing around with my phone camera back in 2012. I started falling in love with photography for those first few years and taught myself how to shoot in manual mode when my husband gifted me my first DSLR back in 2015. I went to school for photography and graduated with an AAS from Spokane Falls Community College in 2018, launching my business in the Fall of 2018. I’m currently in the midst of my 3rd season of shooting weddings and have loved every minute of it. I continue to learn and grow with every session/wedding that I shoot and couple that I work with!

Are we a good fit for each other?

Most importantly of all, I want to make sure I’m exactly what you’re looking for! Do you love adventure & the outdoors and want your photos to include unique ideas and genuine interaction/emotion? (Bonus points if you love dogs, succulents, The Office, hiking, or tacos because those are all direct lines to my heart!) I’m laid back and always up for exploring new places and trying out new things/ideas! I love on my clients and pour my heart into each session/experience. I treasure each relationship and try my best to get to know you and build trust/comfort so that I can really invest in your experience and capture your authentic self(selves)! In the end, I want to be more than just the person who documents your milestone moments- my hope is that we both walk away feeling like we each gained a new friend! How far in advance should I book with you?

Ideally, the sooner, the better! I only take on a certain number of weddings per year and for 2021, I’m almost entirely booked and starting to book into 2022. Popular summer wedding dates (Saturdays, June-October) can book anywhere from 6-12 months in advance! As far as wedding planning goes, I really encourage you to secure your vendors as soon as you have a date. The biggest bummer is having your heart set on something to be told that it’s already booked. For portrait/engagement sessions, I recommend getting ahold of me 2-3 weeks before you want to schedule to ensure I have space on my calendar for you!

Will you travel for our wedding or session?

Um, yes! Traveling is something I love to do as much as possible in my spare time, so I would happily be 1000% on board for any wedding/session that allows me to see/explore a new place! Are you involved in the wedding planning process?

I can be as involved as you would like me to be! Since I’ve been shooting weddings for a few years now, I’ve come to learn what works well and what doesn’t. For all my weddings, I build a timeline/schedule from a photography standpoint that we will go over and discuss, but if you have any additional questions about the details of the day, or would like vendor recommendations, please don’t hesitate to ask!

HOW MANY IMAGES DO YOU DELIVER?

Because each session and each wedding is so different from one to the next, I don’t have a set number of photos that I’ll deliver in your final gallery. For portrait/engagement sessions, the amount delivered can range anywhere from 50-150! For weddings, there are so many factors and moving pieces that can dictate what the final count is such as wedding party size, whether you want getting ready photos, or choose to do a first look or not, how big your family/guest list is, the events you choose to include in your reception, etc. It can range anywhere between 300-1000! I would definitely encourage you to prioritize quality over quantity when searching for your photographer and keep in mind that a well captured wedding doesn’t necessarily mean a ton of photos!

Do you deliver every photo from the session/wedding? Can I have RAW or unedited photos?

Nope and definitely nope! 😉 I curate all my galleries to tell your story exactly as it was in the most beautiful and true way that I can. I only want to give you the best, highest quality images from our time together because I firmly believe in quality over quantity! My hope is that you can trust in me and my process. By choosing me as your photographer, you’ve looked through my work and like my style of shooting and editing and therefore, delivering unedited photos would not be a true representation of my art. Of course, if you feel like I’ve forgotten to deliver a certain photo, please feel free to let me know and I will take a second look through your gallery!

CAN I SEE A FULL WEDDING GALLERY?

Absolutely! I don’t post entire wedding galleries on my website because most people don’t want to take the time to scroll through several hundred images. But please feel free to reach out and ask to see a full wedding gallery and I would be more than happy to send over some examples!

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

This is heavily dependent on a variety of factors including time of year, my travel schedule, and how busy I am. For portrait/engagement sessions, I aim to deliver these in around 3 weeks. For weddings, it can take around 5 weeks in my slower season (November-May) and around 8-10 weeks in my busy season (June-October). Know that I am as excited to deliver your final galleries as you are to receive them, but at the same time, I do not want to rush through your images or deliver something that I am not proud of. Please be patient and I promise the wait on your images will be worth it 💗

CAN I POST MY PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Of course! Once you receive your gallery, you have the right to share your photos on any of your social media accounts. I only ask that you tag me and give credit in your caption when possible (referrals/word of mouth recommendations are so important for my business!) 

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?

At this time, I do not. But keep an eye out on my FB page & Instagram for mini sessions if you’re looking to book with me at a lower cost! I offer them 1-2 times per year and generally around the holidays!

HOW DO I BOOK?

Head on over to my contact page and submit an inquiry! I would super appreciate it if you could be as detailed as possible on the contact form so we can dive in and start the planning process! Please keep in mind that no session with me whether it’s a portrait or wedding is booked until a contract is signed and the retainer is paid. If you’re worried about planning, don’t sweat it! I’m here to help guide you and answer any questions that you may have. I’ll be ready with questionnaires and guides to send you to make it a smooth and fun process, and I’m only a phone call/zoom meeting away if you want to set up something a little more formal and get to know each other!
